Make a sandalwood paste with rose water and apply .Keep it overnight and wash it with cold water the next day. If you find that your skin becomes dry in the morning, leave the paste only for a few hours on your face or you may try adding some milk while making paste.

Rub ice cubes on the face for 10-15 minutes. It will tighten the pores.

Apply cucumber juice on the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes to tighten the pores.

Believe it or not, a negative body image is not just a woman's problem. Increasingly, men are dissatisfied with one or more parts of their body. The media and a culture obsessed with perfection have defined what men and women are supposed to look like. In reality, few people-even models-meet those high, exacting standards. Unfortunately, some men will go to extremes to change their body based on unrealistic perceptions.
A negative self image, or fixation on perceived body flaws, can take a toll on a man's mental and physical health. Unfortunately, men tend not to discuss their concerns about body image. Their self-imposed silence leads to feelings of isolation, distress, depression, and anxiety. They are at increased risk for abusing anabolic steroids, which can lead to serious health problems. Eating orders in men are on the rise as well, and poor body image effects men's sexual well-being, potentially leading to aggressive or risky sexual behavior.
Mental health professionals call this disturbed body image dysmorphic disorder, or dysmorphophobia. Men who have muscle dysmorphia believe they are scrawny, especially in their abs, chest, shoulders, and arms. Despite excessive exercise, they don't believe they can build big muscles, much like people with anorexia believe that no matter how much they diet, they are still too fat.
In addition to muscle mass, men tend to fixate on several body zones.

The apples, naturally have a natural wax coating on their surface. This natural wax coating helps to protect the apple fruit from shriveling and weight loss. However, prior to packaging of the apple fruits, they are washed by scrubbing the surface to remove dirt and chemical residues (if they are not organic). This scrubbing removes approximately 50% of the natural wax coating.

To replace the natural wax coating, processors apply other recommended waxes on the surface of apples. The waxes applied on apples can either be animal wax, vegetable wax or mineral and synthetic wax. After applying wax, the fruits assumes glossy and firm appearance which is considered as an important quality in apples.

The distributors and sellers of apples can apply wax to improve appearance and increase visual freshness. This is very common practice especially in supermarkets.

The most common wax used on apples is a vegetable wax called canauba wax or shellac.

People sometimes believe that bleeding when brushing is normal. They say that their gums always bleed and so do their other family member’s. Are bleeding gums normal?
The short answer is NO! Healthy gums do not bleed with brushing or flossing. In fact, bleeding gums is a sign of gingivitis, which is an early stage of gum and bone (periodontal) disease. If you watch TV, you have heard of gingivitis. A multimillion- dollar industry surrounds various types of products that are purported to eliminate gingivitis. The problem is, most of the products don’t really work. They can make your mouth “feel” clean, but the source of the gingivitis remains. Here’s what you need to know:
1.Gingivitis is caused from an inflammation of the gum tissues. This inflammation can be caused from a bacterial infection or some other type of irritation. It is known that there are at least 11 different strains of bacteria that can cause gum and bone disease. These bacteria thrive in dark, moist areas, such as the gum tissues around the teeth. Our immune systems recognize that there is a problem and send out cells to get rid of the bacteria. Blood to the infected area is also increased to help flush away the invaders. However, if the invaders don’t go, our tissues become engorged with blood and our gums can bleed when we brush.
2.Bleeding is sometimes the “first alert” to more damaging problems arising, because gum and bone disease can exist in the absence of other noticeable symptoms, bleeding may be the only sign a person notices; until some destruction of bone has already occurred.
3.Brushing with a soft bristle brush or a soft bristle “power” brush and using dental floss can reduce plaque, which is a soft, sticky substance that forms on our teeth. Plaque is a breeding ground for bacteria.
4.Prescription products, such as medicinal mouth rinses and pastes can help. These provide ingredients known to reduce bacteria.
5.Professional cleaning or prophylaxis, where the dentist or hygienist removes plaque, calculus (also known as tartar-a hard deposit), and stains also reduces bacteria.
6.If bleeding continues, or if you have “pockets” that are 4mm or deeper around any of your teeth, root planning may be needed. Root planning is not the same as a professional cleaning. It is a more extensive procedure to rid the teeth of germs and deposits.
7.Since bleeding gums may be the first sign of a mouth infection, and since infections in the mouth are related to many chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and heart disease, a mouth infection is nothing to ignore.
There are sometimes other serious reasons for gums that bleed. These include blood disorders, clotting disorders, liver problems, kidney disorders, artery or capillary diseases, and diabetes and heart problems. Bleeding gums can also be the result of vitamin C and K deficiencies. Fungal infections are implicated with bleeding tissues, as well as certain medications such as aspirin and blood thinners.

What should you look for?

 Red, tender, or swollen gums
 A bad taste in the mouth
 Recession of gums from the teeth
 Sensitive teeth
