Pomegranate Juice

Botanical name:Punica granatum
Sanskrit name:Dadima
Hindi name: Anar
Tamil name:Madulai

Indications: Ideal during the following conditions

  • Arthritis 

Properties:
  • It alleviates all the 3 doshas
  • Even though it is sour in taste it does not increase pitta
  • Balances pitta
  • Sweet & sour to taste
  • Is a natural astringent

 Ingredients: 

Pomegranate fruits – 1 fruit
Water – quantity sufficient
Honey – 20 ml

    

Preparation:

1. Separate the pomegranate seeds along with the juicy envelope.

2. Blend in a mixer.

3. Add desired quantity of water.

4. Optional to add honey.

5. Stir well and serve.
