8 Effective Home Remedies For Strep Throat

1) Chew Basil Leaves

As a remedy to strep throat, you can simply clean 5 basil leaves with water and then chew them properly. This should be done twice daily for good result. It will kill the bacteria present in your throat and produce soothing effect. Within a few days, you will be able to get rid of your strep throat.
Another way to use basil leaves for getting rid of strep throat is to extract its juice and mix a pinch of turmeric powder into it.      You should consume this mixture at bedtime for getting relief from strep throat.

2) Drink Herbal Tea

Drinking herbal tea at regular interval of time is efficient in providing relief from strep throat and treating it. A number of herbs can be used for making herbal tea butlicorice and chamomile are the most recommended ones. 6) Increase Your Intake Of Turmeric

In order to alleviate the symptoms associated with strep throat, you should increase your intake of turmeric in your diet. You can add it to soups, curries, and cooked vegetables.
In order to get quick relief from strep throat inflammation and pain, you should add a teaspoon of turmeric powder into salt water and frequently gargle with it. This mixture can also contain garlic. Turmeric powder can be simply added to warm water and used for gargling.

If you are suffering from strep throat pain, then taking an aspirin tablet, ibuprofen oracetaminophen tablet can be a good option. But these over the counter analgesics should be used with caution. Pregnant or nursing women should not take analgesics without their doctor’s permission. Even the children below the age of 19, should not self treat with analgesics.
